COVID-19 Precautions
At Kings Highway Animal Clinic, our primary focus is the health and safety of our clients, patients and our employees without compromising on the quality and availability of our veterinary services.
Infectious disease experts, as well as human and animal health organizations agree that there is no evidence at this point to indicate that pets can spread COVID-19 to other animals, including people. However, out of an abundance of caution, it is recommended that those ill with COVID-19 limit contact with pets and other animals until more information is known about the virus. Have another member of your household take care of walking, feeding, and playing with your pet until you are symptom-free, if possible.
For the health and safety of our staff and clients, Kings Highway Animal Clinic requests that any clients who are exhibiting symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, or breathing difficulties refrain from coming to the facility. If your appointment is not urgent, we ask that you reschedule the appointment until at least 72 hours after your symptoms have resolved. If your pet needs to be seen urgently, we ask that you have a family member or friend bring your pet to the clinic or call to receive further instruction from our staff members on how we can assist you and your pet safely.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are doing the following:
Thank you for your understanding while we navigate through this challenging time. Our goal is to continue being able to help the clients and pets in our community and we believe these precautions will help us achieve that goal while keeping our staff and clients healthy and safe. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are doing the following:
- We have implemented additional cleaning and disinfecting procedures after each appointment as well as frequent disinfection of common surfaces in our lobby and throughout the facility using our hospital disinfectant which is effective against COVID-19.
- Our staff members will be limiting direct human-to-human contact as well as following all CDC recommended hygiene practices to prevent the spread of infection.
- We are currently not accepting walk-in appointments. Please call to schedule an appointment time and we will attempt to schedule you as quickly as possible or arrange for emergency treatment. Walk-ins will be asked to drop-off their pet or schedule an appointment and return at their designated appointment time.
- We are encouraging all clients to utilize our online pharmacy for prescription and food refills. Our online pharmacy can ship medications and food directly to your home and most items can be set up for autoship, including monthly single doses of preventatives. Click here for our online pharmacy.
