Boarding Services

Kings Highway Animal Clinic offers boarding services for both dogs and cats. Large dogs stay in indoor/outdoor runs and small dogs stay in small or medium cages depending on their size. Dogs are taken outside at least twice daily. Cats stay in cages in our separate Cat Room and are fed and have their litterbox cleaned twice daily.

Pets are fed a sensitive stomach dry food from Hills or Royal Canin. You may also bring their normal diet, if you prefer. Pets are given towels or blankets for their comfort while boarding. We do not recommend bringing your pet's bedding from home. If you choose to bring your own bedding, please be aware that we will do our best to keep track of your items but we are not responsible for lost or damaged items. We do not recommend bringing large beds as our washer cannot handle large bulky items if they become soiled.

Boarding reservations should be made prior to dropping off to ensure we have space for your pet. If we have not seen your pet before, an examination will be required to board. When dropping off, we will ask if your pet has any health concerns, medications, or special feeding instructions. We will also ask for an emergency contact person or a number you can be reached if any concerns arise during your pet's stay.

Boarding Requirements

For your pet's protection, we require your pet to be current on the following:
  • Dogs - Rabies Vaccination, Distemper/Parvo/Lepto Vaccination, Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
  • Cats - Rabies Vaccination, Feline Distemper (FVRCP)
  • ALL PETS must be current on a monthly flea preventative such as Nexgard, Frontline, Vectra 3D, etc.
  • Pets found to have external (fleas/ticks) or internal parasites while boarding will be treated at the owner's expense

Grooming

Kings Highway Animal Clinic offers limited grooming services such as nail trims and anal gland expression. All pets brought in for grooming services must be up to date on the vaccinations listed above.

For full-service grooming, we recommend:
